OCHA DONATES $50,000 WORTH OF TENTS, BLANKETS TO

LORESTAN EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS

TERHAN, 10 April 2006 (UNIC)—Following the last Wednesday meeting between Head UN of Office of Coordination for Humanitarian Assistance (OCHA) Mr. Ali Ashraf Mojtahed Shabestari and Governor General of Lorestan Province Mr. Mohsen Sani, it was decided that OCHA donates US$50,000 to the Lorestan Governor General’s office to purchase blankets as well as tents and distribute them among earthquake victims under the supervision of Mr. Sani and the Province’s National Disaster Task Force Office.
