In her opening remarks UNIC Director Maria Dotsenko said at the Moot Courts, university students play the role of lawyers in a hypothetical court case involving real-life legal and human right questions.

Before the actual simulation Dean of Faculty of Law of Shahid Beheshti University Dr. Ebrahim Beigzadeh who is a member of Iranian legal team at ICJ and Professor of Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ School of International Relations (SIR), and another member of Iranian legal team at ICJ, Dr. Seyyed Hossein Sadat Meidani briefed some 30 graduate and post-graduate students of international law and relations from different universities in Iran, on legal issues on the Case that the participants would simulate. Then, the speakers answered the students question.
